❗NOTE:

Before following any of the steps below, you MUST verify your custom domain by updating your DNS records (this can be a very technical step, our onboarding team will help you through)

❗ ☝️ You must complete Step 1 before continuing ☝️ ❗

REMINDER: Step 1 asks you to enter in unique records into your website management system. Get help setting up DNS records with any of these common providers:

👋 Let's finalize your custom domain settings for your AI Email Assistant

🌟 (TL;DR)🌟
Go to the Outlook account of the custom email you set up in Step 1. Then, set up forwarding rules to forward a copy of all mail to your unique messagingassistant.com email (which we provide you).

❗ NOTE: It is highly recommended that the email you're using for your AI Assistant will receive no other email, other than those you'd like the AI to engage. ❗

Here's how to get setup:

👉 Go to your Lead Source Settings > AI Assistant Emailing. Then copy the messagingassistant.com email we set up for you 👇

👉 Go into your Outlook settings, and click "Forwarding"

👉 Check the box "Enable Forwarding" and enter your unique <<company.name@messagingassistant.com>> email into the "Forward my email to:"👇

Note: also select the "Keep a copy of forwarded messages check box if you want a copy of the original message to remain in your mailbox

👉 Once all fields are completed, click Save in the bottom right👇

👉 Once the forwarding step has been completed, go back to your your Lead Source Settings > AI Assistant Emailing

👉 Under the section titled Custom Email, in the field "custom_email" type in the name on the email address that you just set up forwarding from - essentially you are recreating that custom email address in Structurely.

👉 From the "Select Domain" drop down, choose your verified custom domain.

👉 Click "Add Email". Again, this email address needs to MATCH the email inbox in which you just set up forwarding. 👇

👉Your custom email address will automatically generate, as shown below👇

👉 Now any emails sent to your custom domain, will be responded to by the AI Email Assistant. (Below is an example of a contact emailing your new custom domain AI Email Assistant) 👇

👉 Emails from your Assistant will come from the custom domain and username email you set up in this help doc. When a contact replies to the AI Assistant, it will appear as though they are replying to that custom domain 👇

❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗

NOTE 1
It is highly recommended that the email you're using for your AI Assistant will receive no other email, other than those you'd like the AI to engage.

Any and all emails that enter the actual Outlook inbox for your custom email will bengaged by the AI Assistant.

❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗

❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗NOTE 2

Do not create a custom domain email address for your AI assistant that is the same as your personal email, or Structurely account log in email.

This will cause your AI Assistant to respond to itself infinitely.

❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗

Okay, so here's how to make sure it's working

Simply send an email in to your newly created custom email address (in this example, emma.holmes@structurely.com).

You should receive a reply from your AI Assistant, and see the conversation thread in your HomeChat dashboard.

Tell us if it didn't work!

If you aren't receiving a response from your AI Assistant, or don't see the new lead in your HomeChat dashboard, shoot us a message via the little floating live chat bubble in the bottom right of this page 😃

Or you can send an email to help@structurely.com and we will get back to you!
