Variations are different messages that are sent to your lead based on either the number of Merge Fields that can be filled, or randomly selected.

*Variations ARE NOT optional. They are what's required to actually send a message to a lead.

Types of Variations

👉 Below is a Variation without any Merge Fields. You MUST always have at least 1 Variation that contains no Merge fields👇

You must have at least 1 Variation that has NO MERGE FIELDS in every Message you create.

This Variation(s) will be used if none of the other Variations that have Merge Fields can be filled (meaning the Merge Field data needed hasn't been provided)

👉 Click "Add Variation" to add a new variation in addition to the one you just made👇

👉 In this next Variation, we will add a Merge Field by either clicking the { } icon -- or by typing "{". In this example, we added the TIMEFRAME Merge Slot, which means, if the lead provided their timeframe, we will insert that value into the message👇

💡❗ IMPORTANT ❗
In the above example, if the lead has in fact provided their timeframe, we will ALWAYS send the Variation with the Timeframe Merge Field.

The Variation that is able to use the most Merge Fields given the info a lead has provided us will ALWAYS be the one that gets sent.

Otherwise, a Variation is picked at random to send to the lead.

👉 Below, we add a 3rd Variation, using the Agent's Phone Number. It is likely that if we know the lead's timeframe, the #3 Variation will be run, because we almost ALWAYS know the Agent's Phone Number. Making the 3rd Variation the one with the most known Merge Fields. 👇

How to Remove a Variation

👉 Remove a Variation by clicking the TRASH CAN icon next to the Variation you'd like to remove. Then clicking Save Changes.
